![]() fantapoliticahumorous look at Italian politics (bilingual)Wednesday, October 29, 2003 There he goes again. I hope that after this post it will be unanimous that Giuseppe Consolo is a pathological liar incapable of avoiding lies which are totally obvious to his listeners. The issue again is his shameless use of the concept of unanimity in this case the word unanimità GIUSEPPE CONSOLO Presidente, quando io posi il problema per Pintus tutti, all'unanimità, ritennero che non sussistesse. Ora, io penso che il caso Pintus costituisca un precedente vincolante, altrimenti si userebbero due pesi e due misure. click then search for unan . Notice he is claiming that his argument was unanimously rejected hence, evidently, by himself. That is he must have changed his mind. He appears to do this often because on the same 22 October 2003, in the same discussion of the same issue, he refered to the same alleged precedent in a quite different way clearly contradicting himself GIUSEPPE CONSOLO. Quando si pose il problema Pintus, io dissi le stesse cose che ha sostenuto ora il collega Fanfani ma fui messo in minoranza. click then search for unan then search for minora. Now if the decision was unanimous there was no minoranza and Consolo could not have been messo in minoranza. Now I know it is a platitude that politicians are liars but I thought the idea was that they were sly tricky liars not pathetic compulsive liars incapable of refraining from contradicting their lies within a day.
